It’s a C&R Dance Party!

Forget the CD Exchange (if I don’t participate, it doesn’t exist) let’s have a music exchange right here at Cocky & Rude!  Each time we have a C&R Dance Party, I’ll name a theme for the day and you’ll post your responses in the form of a YouTube video in the comments.  And don’t forget to dance!

Today’s Theme Is: A Song That Is (or Once Was) Stuck In Your Head!
Link us to a YouTube video in the comments and tell us why you picked it.
Feel free to answer more than once!

I haven’t been able to get this song out of my head for months (ever since Enrico told me about it)!  I sing it in the car, in the shower, when I’m at home, and even when I’m at work (much to the behest of my coworkers).  But to be clear, the song that is stuck in my head is not singing the Glee version (why is Blaine on stage wearing a messenger bag?) or the dumb version from the radio where they added the annoying extra drum beat.  For your listening pleasure, here’s Gotye‘s Somebody That I Used To Know (feat. Kimbra):

Now it’s your turn!

(And by the way, if your video doesn’t post in the comments correctly, FEAR NOT!
I’ll fix it as soon as I get a chance)

  1. I dont have to time to go looking for it, but for the last few weeks, “I Get A Good Feeling” by Flo Rida has been on repeat in my noggin.

      1. That was my second choice, too (I love the cowbell version)! My first was the Gotye song (the beginning part that sounds like “Baa Baa Black Sheep bounces around my head like crazy. So I’ll have to use my third choice.

        1. The crazy thing is…every time a new lipdub is up and circulated…I WATCH IT. We should totally make a C&Rmy Lip Dub using. I nominate Adam to be in charge of editing it.

    1. Tam was the one who introduced “Call Me Maybe” to me. I think it may be part of a Canadian plot to drive us insane.

  2. Since Adam and Mikey stole my first two choices, I’m going to go with “To mistiko mou na vreis” by Ivi Adamou. It’s from my non-North American CD for the exchange (Greece). It’s fun and bouncy. It’s a great summer song. And I wake up with it in my head (especially the end of the song).

  3. OMG!!!! The only way “Call Me Maybe” is getting out of my head is with a bullet. And, for the love of god, I hope it takes “Starships” with it!!!

  4. Let’s see, I listen to a lot of radio all day so in no order, these songs need to be put down.

    Nicki Minaj – Starships
    Pitbull – Back In Time
That Annoying Bitch – Call Me Maybe
Gotye – Somebody That I Used To Know
Fun. – We Are Young (which is a shame because the album is amazing.)
The Wanted – Glad You Came (I really liked this song before it became popular, now I throw up when I hear it.)
David Guetta – Turn Me On

However, my current number 1 pop radio offender has to be this fucking piece of shit:

    1. Thank God for my iPod. I’d hate to start hating a song just because a radio station can’t think of more than thirty-nine other songs to play.

      1. Yeah, I need background noise to exist so I have it on in the mornings/at night when I’m not at my computer and able to listen to things I want to hear. I tend to usually just listen to straight albums anyway and randomly grab singles by choice once in a while.
